Effective June 19, 2026 · Last updated June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Modern Freight Broker Academy (“MFBA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit modernfreightbrokeracademy.com, purchase the program, contact support, or use the student platform.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect your name, email address, contact message, enrollment information, support history, course progress, assessment results, and certificate details.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive transaction information such as purchase status, amount, customer name, email, and limited billing details. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting, security, and analytics providers may process IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location, timestamps, and similar diagnostic data. The current student experience also stores session and progress information in your browser's local storage.
2. How we use information
- Provide and administer course access
- Process purchases and maintain transaction records
- Track learning progress and issue certificates
- Respond to support, billing, and refund requests
- Protect the website, students, and MFBA against misuse and fraud
- Improve content, usability, accessibility, and performance
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations
- Send service communications and, where permitted, marketing communications
3. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with law, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, and act on consent where consent is required.
4. Cookies and browser storage
MFBA may use essential cookies or local storage for protected access, preferences, course progress, and referral attribution. When a visitor uses an approved affiliate link, MFBA may store the affiliate identifier in the browser for up to 30 days and send campaign parameters to Stripe Checkout so the resulting purchase can be attributed. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings, but doing so may remove locally saved progress, referral attribution, or access state.
5. How information is shared
We may share information with vendors that provide payment processing, hosting, email, customer support, analytics, security, and course delivery. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of assets. We do not sell personal information for money.
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including maintaining student access, documenting course completion, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal or accounting requirements.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; to withdraw consent; or to appeal a privacy decision. These rights may be limited by legal exceptions. To submit a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity.
9. Children's privacy
MFBA is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.
10. International use
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
11. Third-party services
Our site links to Stripe and may link to other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will reflect material revisions. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy where permitted by law.
13. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected].
